Where is your pick-up point?
Our pick-up point is at Oudezijds Voorburgwal 230, behind the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky and opposite the cigar shop Bom 9. The cruise also ends here.
Where is the Friendship office?
Our office is at Oudezijds Voorburgwal 85. For your cruise, please come to the pick-up point at number 230.
What are your departure times?
Current departure times are shown in the calendar on every cruise page. Our boats also sail in between, but to be sure of a seat we recommend booking online in advance.
How long does the tour last?
The regular cruise takes about 60 minutes. The exact duration of each cruise is shown on its page.
What will we see during the tour?
We always pass the Hermitage, the Skinny Bridge, the Maritime Museum, NEMO and Carré. Our skippers choose the most beautiful route, including the narrower canals.
Do you operate every day?
If it is up to us, definitely. On days with bad weather a cruise may not be able to sail. In doubt? Call us on +31 20 334 4774.
On board
Is there a tour guide?
Definitely. Our skipper and host(ess) guide you past the most beautiful places, in English and/or Dutch depending on the guests on board.
Is there a bar on board?
Yes. On board you will find a drinks menu with soft drinks, prosecco, spritzes and a wide range of spirits. In winter we also serve Irish coffee, mulled wine and hot chocolate.
Is there a toilet on board?
Our classic saloon boats have a toilet on board. The open boats do not.
Isn’t it cold on an open boat?
It is a little cooler on the water than in the streets, and the wind can add to that. We have blankets on board, and in winter heated cushions and covered boats. We sail all year round.
Are there life jackets on board?
Absolutely, including life jackets for children.
Can I bring my own food or drinks?
Unfortunately this is not possible. Our bar on board will take care of you.
Accessibility & pets
Can I bring a buggy on board?
That depends on the boat and the number of guests. You can also leave the buggy at our dock, where the dock steward looks after it. Please take valuables on board with you.
Is it wheelchair accessible?
Our boat Friendship is the most accessible, but stepping across from the dock is still a little tricky and we have no wheelchair lift. We are happy to look at the possibilities together, so do give us a call.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes. We kindly ask you to keep your dog off the cushions and look after it yourself. It should sit on your lap or on the floor.

Can I book a boat privately?
Yes, you can book a boat with skipper exclusively for your own party. See Private hire for the options.
I bought tickets via Tripadvisor, Groupon or another provider. Can I change them?
